In its smart home system, Panasonic relies on a base station called the HUB to collect information from numerous sensors and cameras, after which the data is processed and action taken if necessary. The system also offers a free mobile application so you can take advantage of its full functionality from anywhere in the world. All you need is to have an internet connection on your mobile phone and it should use the Android or iOS operating system.
How does it work?
Panasonic Smart Home consists of three main elements - HUB (the brain of the system), a free application for smartphone or tablet, as well as different types of sensors that provide information to the HUB.
It is designed to make your life easier and more secure. That is why its installation and operation are extremely easy:
• Make sure you have a wireless router that has a working internet connection;
• Connect the Panasonic HUB to the wireless router following the instructions in the illustrated brochure included;
• Insert the batteries of all Panasonic sensors, because the sensors use special wireless DECT ULE technology to communicate with the HUB, their batteries last up to 24 months without replacement;
• Find a suitable place to place the sensors in your home. All sensors are designed to be installed without the need for drilling or the use of additional materials;
• All that remains is to install the free mobile or tablet app, register and set it up to work as convenient and comfortable for you!
How much does it cost?
To use the Panasonic Smart Home, you need to purchase a kit that includes a minimum HUB, a door / window sensor and a motion sensor. You can find this kit under the name Panasonic Home Safety Starter Kit. The mobile phone application, registration and use of the Panasonic server are completely free.
